§ 63. Mr. TOUCHEasked what is the total number of unattached officers at present serving in the Customs branch of the Customs and Excise service; what is their rate of overtime remuneration; and when will the Departmental Committee's Report on the subject of hours and allowances be issued?
§ Mr. MASTERMANThere are some 340 unattached officers now serving on the Customs side. No overtime, is being paid to them at present. It is hoped that the Regulations giving effect to the Amalgamation Committee's recommendations as to hours and overtime pay will be issued very shortly.
