HC Deb 04 November 1912 vol 43 c832
46. Captain CRAIG

asked whether the right hon. Gentleman is now prepared to announce the steps he intends to take to attempt to force the loyalists of Ulster to submit to a Nationalist Parliament proposed to be set up under the Government of Ireland Bill against their expressed determination and the terms of the solemn league and covenant they have entered into?

The PRIME MINISTER

It would not be possible for me at the present stage to add anything to the statements which I made on this matter on 11th June and 3rd July.

Captain CRAIG

Referring to the right hon. Gentleman's reply pending a definite settlement of this point in the mind of the right hon. Gentleman, will he postpone any further discussion of the Bill?

The PRIME MINISTER

I am afraid I cannot undertake to do that. If the right hon. and gallant Member will put to me some specific point I will consider it.

Captain CRAIG

The specific point is that you are wasting your time.
