§ Lords Message of 21st October relating to the appointment of a Joint Committee 808 on Gas Authorities (Residual Products) considered:—
§ Ordered, That a Select Committee of Five Members be appointed to join with a Committee to be appointed by the Lords to consider and report whether any, and, if any, what, restrictions should be imposed on gas authorities with respect to the purchase and manufacture of the residual products resulting from the manufacture of gas by other gas authorities, or of other chemicals.
§ Message to the Lords to acquaint them therewith, and to request their Lordships will be pleased to appoint an equal number of Lords to be joined with the Members of this House.
§ Committee nominated of Mr. Hills, Mr. Lardner, Mr. Walter Rea, Mr. Samuel Roberts, and Mr. George Thorne.
§ Ordered, That the Committee have power to send for persons, papers, and records, and to hear parties interested by themselves, their counsel, agents, and witnesses if they think fit.
