§ Mr. KINGasked the President of the Board of Education whether he has inquired into the lack of present education facilities at Dundry, Somerset, and, if so, with what result; and whether, if school accommodation is not to be speedily opened in this parish, he will press for vehicles being supplied by the local education authority to take the children of Dundry to the nearest available schools?
§ The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. Joseph Pease)I have made inquiries, and I understand that it is expected that the alterations to the school at Dundry will be completed by June 19th. I see no reason for adopting the course suggested in the last part of the question, and I am sure the hon. Member will not grudge the children the additional holiday for a few weeks which may be unavoidable as a result of the building operations at this school.
