HC Deb 21 May 1912 vol 38 c1751
Mr. STEPHEN GWYNNE

asked the Chief Secretary whether any steps have been taken by the Congested Districts Board to acquire the Lynch estate, at Barna, near Galway; whether he is aware of the congestion in this parish, which was till 1909 outside the operations of the Board; and whether he is aware that the landlord, by creating new tenancies, is barring the way to any possible provision of economic holdings for the existing tenants?

Mr. ILLINGWORTH

The Congested Districts Board have been in communication with the owner of this estate, but up to the present it has not been offered for sale to the Board. They have no information as regards the last paragraph of the question.
