HC Deb 21 May 1912 vol 38 cc1748-9
Sir DAVID BRYNMOR-JONES

asked the Prime Minister whether any answer has been received from the Convocations of Canterbury and York to the letters of business issued in 1906; and, if not, whether he has received any intimation as to the probability of the Convocations agreeing in any reply thereto; and whether he has been informed of the reasons for the delay in compliance with the aforesaid letters of business?

Mr. McKENNA

In view of the intricacy and importance of the matters referred to the two Convocations in 1906, it was not to be expected that any conclusions could be arrived at without lengthy discussion and consideration. I hope, however, that at no distant date the final result of their deliberations may be embodied in a reply from the Convocations.
