HC Deb 14 May 1912 vol 38 c962
Mr. GEORGE TERRELL

asked whether the Government now proposes to take any and, if any, what proceedings against the officials of the British Seafarers' Trade Union, at Southampton, who, by interfering with the crew of the R.M.S. "Olympic," prevented her departure and thereby delayed His Majesty's mails?

The PRIME MINISTER

I have no official knowledge as to what passed between the officials referred to and the crew of the "Olympic." There are, as far as I am aware, no adequate grounds for any action on the part of His Majesty's Government.

Mr. G. TERRELL

Will the right hon. Gentleman make inquiries as to what occurred?

The PRIME MINISTER

Inquiries have been made.
