§ Mr. McKENNAThree shillings and sixpence is returned by the borough of Salford as the only claim made on the town council during the period referred to in the Return for damage coming within the Riot (Damages) Act. The claim was afterwards abandoned. The Act, of course, applies only to buildings and machinery, not to vehicles in the streets.
