HC Deb 09 May 1912 vol 38 c582
Mr. PRETYMAN

asked the Secretary to the Treasury whether, after more than sixty days have elapsed since the service of a provisional valuation, the Inland Revenue Commissioners claim the right to alter or amend the figures without the assent or application of the owner?

Mr. MASTERMAN

The answer is in the negative.

Mr. PRETYMAN

Is the hon. Gentleman aware that this claim is being made and action is being taken by the Commissioners in the direction indicated?

Mr. MASTERMAN

If I was aware of that I should not state that the answer was in the negative. If the hon. Gentleman will give me any case of the kind I will gladly inquire into it.
