HC Deb 28 March 1912 vol 36 c597
Viscount WOLMER

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the industrial unrest that has been chronic during recent years, he will introduce legislation designed to remedy evils which are the cause of such unrest; and whether, in order to allow sufficient time for such legislation, he will postpone the Home Rule Bill and Welsh Disestablishment Bill until next year?

The PRIME MINISTER

I need hardly say that His Majesty's Government are well aware of the importance of the matters referred to in the first part of the question, but I am not able to promise such legislation. The answer to the second part of the question is in the negative.

Mr. JAMES HOPE

Which of the three measures does the right hon. Gentleman regard as the most urgent?

The PRIME MINISTER

That is a matter of opinion.

Mr. JAMES HOPE

Will the right hon. Gentleman say which is in his opinion?
