§ Mr. MASTERMANThe conditions under which public employés may be excepted from compulsory insurance under Part I. of the Act are given in paragraph (b) of Part II. of the First Schedule. As I stated in answer to the hon. Member for Portsmouth on Tuesday, an Inter-Departmental Committee is now considering the application of Part I. of the Act to Government employés, and steps will be taken to inform persons affected of their position immediately the Report of that Committee is received.
