asked whether, in any proposal by a local authority to purchase a plot of land, regard will be had by the Local Government Board to the Government valuation of the land when considering the price proposed to be paid for it?

Where the Local Government Board are concerned with purchase of land by local authorities regard will be had to all available information in reference to the propriety of the price proposed to be paid for it, including such information as may properly be afforded by the Valuation Department of the Inland Revenue.
