HC Deb 12 March 1912 vol 35 c952
Captain FABER

asked whether the Independent Modern Order of Foresters at Amport, near Andover, numbering ninety-three members, and having a capital of £1,700, would be entitled to divide any surplus money remaining after they had been valued into another friendly society?

Mr. MASTERMAN

I am unable to answer the hon. Member's question without further particulars as to the precise operation contemplated by the society; if he will communicate with mo in fuller detail I shall be glad to give him a considered reply.

Captain FABER

Do all the small societies have to give all they have got if they come into the strong incorporated friendly societies, or if they do not they cannot get in at all?

Mr. MASTERMAN

If the hon. and gallant Gentleman will communicate with me I will give him a considered answer.
