HC Deb 11 March 1912 vol 35 c802
Mr. RONALD M'NEILL

asked whether it is the intention to adapt an existing building in the village of Guston, Kent, for the purposes of the new post office or to erect a new building; whether, having regard to the fact that telegraph and telephone facilities are provided at the post office in the grounds of the Duke of York's School, which has recently been closed to the public, the same facilities will be afforded at the new office; and when the new office will be open for the transaction of business?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

The premises will be provided by the person selected for appointment as sub-postmaster, and I cannot, therefore, answer at present the first paragraph of the question. I will consider whether the extension of telegraph and telephone facilities to the new office may be justified. As time must be allowed for applications to be made and considered, I cannot yet fix a date for the opening of the office.
