§ Mr. O'GRADYasked the Under-Secretary for India, whether his attention has been called to the conduct of Mr. Jackson, joint magistrate of Chingleput, who on 6th January last, after sentencing a prisoner, described the application of pleader for the accused for a copy of judgment, with a view to sentence being revised, as gross impertinence and impudence; and, having regard to the fact that the pleader was within his legal rights in asking for copy of judgment, steps will be taken to prevent such conduct on the part of Mr. Jackson or any other such magistrate in future?
