HC Deb 20 June 1912 vol 39 c1823
43. Mr. AMERY

asked the Postmaster-General whether the Irish Parliament will have power to fix internal rates for postage, parcels post, and telegrams on a lower scale than the rates imposed by His Majesty's Post Office?

The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Herbert Samuel)

The answer is in the affirmative, the Irish Exchequer bearing any loss of revenue which might ensue.
