HC Deb 18 June 1912 vol 39 c1464
3 and 11. Sir J. D. REES

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether His Majesty's Government and the Government of India are adopting any measures to bring the present unsatisfactory state of affairs in Tibet to a conclusion, or whether its previous policy remains unchanged; and whether, in view of the present state of affairs in Tibet, the Government of India proposes to take any steps or to alter in any way its policy in respect of that country?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for INDIA (Mr. Montagu)

I will answer this question and No. 11 together. It is not proposed to take any steps of the kind suggested. There has been no change in the policy of His Majesty's Government in regard to Tibet.
