HC Deb 17 June 1912 vol 39 c1318
54. Mr. LESLIE SCOTT

asked whether the Government will institute an inquiry by an independent and trained judicial person as to the extent of intimidation practised during the present dock strike, its character, the circumstances under which it has taken place, the classes of persons who have done it and the persons who were responsible for it, and as to the conduct of the police in relation thereto and the responsibilities of the several police authorities for what was done or omitted by such police?

The PRIME MINISTER

I have not been furnished with any sufficient evidence to justify the institution of such an inquiry.
