14. Captain CRAIGasked the Chief Secretary if he will recommend the Irish Insurance Commissioners and the Board of Trade to employ members of the police force and ex-members who have applied for appointments, if suitable; have many such applications been received from members of the Royal Irish Constabulary; and will he endeavour to find employment for these men, who have always served the State well?
§ Mr. BIRRELLA number of applications from members and ex-members of the Royal Irish Constabulary for appointments under the Insurance Act have been received, and will be duly considered with those of others. I shall be very glad to hear of the success of any of the constabulary candidates.
