§ 64. Mr. TOUCHEasked the Attorney-General whether the fees on the capital value of trusts accepted by the Public Trustee, on which the Department is mainly dependent, which are payable one-half on the acceptance of the trust and the other half on the final distribution of the estate, are credited to the revenue of the year in which they are received or apportioned over the period in which they are earned?
§ Mr. ILLINGWORTH (Lord of the Treasury, for the Attorney-General)The analysis of the fees published in the Annual Report of the Public Trustee shows that the half of the whole fee due in respect of the capital, taken upon the acceptance of a trust, is credited to the revenue of the year in which it is received. The second half, which is taken upon the final distribution of a trust, is likewise credited to the revenue of the year in which the distribution takes place.
