HC Deb 10 June 1912 vol 39 cc506-7

asked whether the Registrar of Friendly Societies has refused to sanction schemes brought in by the central bodies of the large affiliated orders, under Section 72 of the National Insurance Act, providing for the workman's 4d. being taken into account against his future contributions to the society unless each branch or lodge of the order is solvent; and whether he has insisted that the degree of solvency of the worst branch or lodge of an order is to govern the scheme of all other branches or lodges of that order?

The answer to both parts of the question is in the negative.
