HC Deb 04 June 1912 vol 39 cc13-4
25. Sir J. D. REES

asked what has been decided regarding the debit of the cost of sending the London police to Tonypandy?

Mr. McKENNA

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer which was given to a question put by the hon. Member for West St. Pancras on the 27th February. The expenditure referred to will be defrayed from Imperial funds, and money has already been voted for the purpose. No part of the expenditure will remain as a charge upon the Metropolitan Police Rate.

Lord BALCARRES

Does that mean that it is finally decided to abandon the Expenses in Aid of Police Bill?

Mr. McKENNA

No, it has nothing to do with that. I think that particular Bill referred to the cost of the military.
