§ Mr. THEODORE TAYLORI beg to present a petition in favour of the regulation of the sale of opium and the suppression of the improper use thereof, from leading citizens of Liverpool, and signed by the Bishop of Liverpool, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Liverpool, Members of Parliament, medical men, journalists, and many leading citizens of Liverpool. Also a similar petition with the same prayer from teachers and students of the Chinese Missions in Liverpool.
