HC Deb 22 July 1912 vol 41 c788
54. Mr. MUNRO

asked the Prime Minister whether, looking to the fact that the Light Railways Bill was reported to this House on 15th May, and that its early passage into law is urgently desired, he will provide facilities for the further stages of the Bill before the Autumn Adjournment?

The PRIME MINISTER

I am aware of the desirability of the early passage into law of the Bill referred to, but I am not sure whether it can be taken before the Autumn Adjournment.

Mr. MACPHERSON

Is not at least one, railway in the North of Scotland, which has the support of the Board of Trade and the Board of Agriculture, being delayed by the non-passing of this Bill?

The PRIME MINISTER

I am aware of that. I am very anxious that the Bill should pass.
