HC Deb 22 July 1912 vol 41 cc789-90
77. MARQUESS Of TULLIBARDINE

asked if any person has been yet appointed as Custodian of the Rolls to the Board of Agriculture in Scotland; and, if so, what is his name and profession, and has he ever held any party political position; and, if so, what?

Mr. McKINNON WOOD

Presumably the appointment referred to by the Noble Lord is that of Mr. Duncan MacTavish, who has been appointed to a clerkship by the Land Court, with the special duty of keeping the Rolls of the Court. I am in- formed by the Land Court, who are responsible for the appointment, that Mr. MacTavish had a legal training and possesses considerable agricultural knowledge. I understand that he was Chairman of the Inverness-shire Liberal Association.
