HC Deb 17 July 1912 vol 41 c395
57. Mr. SANDERS

asked if the Commissioners will exempt from insurance contributions employed persons who will be seventy years of age before next December and who do not belong to any friendly society?

Mr. MASTERMAN

The Insurance Commissioners have no power under the Act to take the course suggested. The local insurance committee may give such persons payments during sickness after they have attained the age of seventy.
