§ 76. Colonel BURN
asked, in the case of the assistant masters in a private school who are engaged by the term, if he will state who is to pay the employer's contribution under the provisions of the National Insurance Act during the holidays?
§ Mr. MASTERMAN
If, as stated, these assistant masters are employed by the term only no employer's contribution would be payable during the holidays, and the employés would come under the ordinary arrangements of the Act with re- 28 gard to arrears. If, however, as in normal cases the engagement is not specifically for a term, only the employer's contribution would be payable throughout the whole period of engagement.
§ Mr. W. THORNE
Does that mean that if a man is on a week's holiday he has to pay the employer's contribution as well as his own?
