§ Mr. MOLLOYasked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that dissatisfaction exists in Carlow owing to the delay in extending the telephone trunk system to that town, in view of the fact that it is; more than two years since the required guarantee was given by the urban district council; if he can now say when the work will be carried out; and whether the system will be extended to the town of Tullow and Bagenalstown?
§ The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Herbert Samuel)I am glad to say that the Treasury have now authorised the extension to Carlow, which will be put in hand at once. The question of further extensions to Tullow and Bagenalstown will be carefully considered.
