HC Deb 26 February 1912 vol 34 c999
Mr. BRADY

asked the Secretary to the Treasury, whether he was aware that the work at the new Science and Art buildings in Dublin had been stopped, and that in consequence numbers of men had been thrown out of employment; whether the work had been stopped by an alteration in the plans and specifications; and who was responsible for such alterations and stoppage of work?

Mr. MASTERMAN

Work has been stopped in consequence of the completion of the new Royal College of Science buildings. The completion of the original scheme for the erection of new public offices has been deferred in view of the possibility of changes in the requirements of Government Departments in Ireland.
