HC Deb 26 February 1912 vol 34 c974
Mr. GEORGE GREENWOOD

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware that on 8th January last a carted deer hunted by Lord Rothschild's staghounds, in attempting to leap a spiked iron fence at Wing, was impaled and partly disembowelled, being subsequently killed by the hunt servants; and whether, in view of the frequency of such occurrences where carted deer are hunted in an enclosed country, he will introduce, or give facilities for, a Bill to put a stop to this form of recreation?

Mr. McKENNA

I have seen a report of this case. I am sorry that I cannot add anything to the replies given last Session by my predecessor and myself to similar questions of my hon. Friend.
