asked what, according to the latest Returns available, are the numbers of persons in receipt of old age pensions in England, Scotland, and Ireland, respectively; and what are the sums payable in respect of each country for these pensions?

The following figures show (a) the number of pensions payable on the last Friday in December, 1911, and (b) the sums which represent approximately a full year's payment in respect of these pensions. No later figures are yet available:—
