HC Deb 21 February 1912 vol 34 c625
Mr. BONAR LAW

May I ask the right hon. Gentleman whether it is possible for him to make any statement in regard to the position in the coal trade?

The PRIME MINISTER

I yesterday addressed a letter on behalf of His Majesty's Government to the representatives of both sides, inviting them to meet me in conference to-morrow at the Foreign Office to discuss the matter. I am glad to say that affirmative responses have been received from both bodies. Beyond that I am not able to make any statement.
