Mr. FRED HALLasked the Secretary to the Treasury if a person claiming sick benefit under the National Insurance Act will have to produce a medical certificate; if so, who will pay for the cost of the same; and what arrangements will 1492 be made for these to be obtained in the event of an agreement not being arrived at with the medical profession?
§ Mr. MASTERMANA medical certificate is not required by the Act as a condition of receiving sickness or disablement benefit. It rests with the approved society to determine whether such a certificate should be required, or what other evidence they will accept?
