HC Deb 11 December 1912 vol 45 c449
48. Mr. WEIGALL

asked the Prime Minister whether he was aware of the names and qualifications of the members of the secret Land Committee before he gave his sanction and approval to its formation?

The PRIME MINISTER

I must refer the hon. Member to the answer which I gave on 8th July on this subject, to which I have nothing to add.

Major ARCHER-SHEE

Will the names of the Committee of this sneaking inquiry be published eventually?

73. Mr. WEIGALL

asked whether members of the secret Land Committee have now been furnished with copies of the evidence and Report of the Departmental Committee on the position of tenant farmers, etc.?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I can add nothing to the reply which I gave to the hon. Member on the 22nd October last in reply to a similar question.

Mr. WEIGALL

Is it within the recollection of the Chancellor of the Exchequer that in answer to my right hon. Friend the Member for Wimbledon (Mr. Chaplin) he gave a promise that a copy of the evidence and the Report would be laid before the members of the Committee?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I certainly gave no such promise.
