Mr. TIMOTHY DAVIESasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is aware of the uncertainty which has arisen in the minds of small traders who usually have their half-holiday on Wednesdays as to their ability, under the provisions of the Shops Act, 1911, to keep their premises open after one o'clock on Wednesday, 18th December, being the Wednesday before Christmas day; and whether he proposes to issue a statement relating to the matter?
