HC Deb 04 December 1912 vol 44 c2287
60. Mr. STANIER

asked the President of the Board of Agriculture how many cases of sheep scab have been found up to date in the sheep imported from Ireland, and if the Irish Department have made any Report to him on the subject; and, if so, will he inform the House why they were allowed to be exported from Ireland?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

One hundred and thirty-five sheep have been found to be affected with sheep scab since the present arrangements for the inspection of Irish animals at authorised landing places were made. I am in communication with the Irish Department on the subject. Perhaps the hon. Member will address his concluding inquiry to my right hon. Friend the Vice-President.
