§ Mr. WHELERI beg to ask the President of the Board of Agriculture a question of "which I have given him private notice: Whether there is any further information as to the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in Kent, and whether, if there is no further outbreak, it would be possible to hold the fat stock shows in the district?
§ Mr. RUNCIMANI am afraid I cannot give any further information to the House with regard to the outbreak in Kent, except to say I hope the slaughter of the affected animals is now complete. I think it would be inadvisable to hold the fat stock shows to which the hon. Member refers in any place within the fifteen-mile area.
