§ 59. Sir WALTER MENZIESasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether he will ask Dr. Turner or Mr. Smith, of the Scottish Insurance Commissioners, to summon a public meeting in Stonehouse, Lanarkshire, in order there to explain to the hand-loom weavers what is their exact position under the National Insurance Act, and to answer any questions which maybe put to them, as their recent visit to that town and their private calls have not allayed the general wish for further information on the subject?
§ Mr. MASTERMANA meeting of the kind desired by my hon. Friend will be arranged at an early date.
