HC Deb 01 April 1912 vol 36 c853
Mr. NEWMAN

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he has any official information showing that the German Government is in negotiation with the Zeppelin aircraft factory for the delivery, within the next three years, of four or five dirigibles for use with the Imperial Navy; and, if so, whether it will be intimated to the German Imperial War Staff that the ratio of strength voted in this year's Estimates will be observed in aircraft as well as keels?

Mr. CHURCHILL

No, Sir.

Mr. NEWMAN

If I send the right hon. Gentleman a copy of the German newspaper referring to the matter, will he consider it?

Mr. CHURCHILL

I do not think that a copy of a German newspaper will constitute official information. My answer refers only to official information.
