asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether there has already taken place exchange of information between this country and any foreign Power relating to naval matters; if so, whether the information has related to construction merely projected or construction already proceeding; and whether it is contemplated to exchange with any other Power information as to forthcoming Naval Estimates, with a view to a reduction of competing armaments?

I have stated that negotiations are in progress between this country and Germany for an exchange of naval information. I do not desire to add anthing to this statement at the present time.
