HC Deb 29 November 1911 vol 32 c412
Mr. GEORGE TERRELL

asked the Postmaster-General whether he has received a memorial, dated 13th May, 1910, from the United Kingdom Postal Clerks' Association, relative to the transfer of work from the class of sorting clerks and telegraphists to that of postmen at Chippenham; whether any inquiry has been made into the matter; and whether he is able to accede to the requests contained in such memorial?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

I duly received the memorial to which the hon. Member refers. The representations made therein related to arrangements in force, not only at Chippenham, but at a large number of offices; and the various questions involved are under the consideration of a special Committee. I hope to receive the Committee's Report shortly.
