HC Deb 29 November 1911 vol 32 c415
Sir HILDRED CARLILE

asked the Home Secretary whether he will postpone the inquiry on the subject of the selection of jurors until the memorial has been presented to the Government which is now being extensively signed in the counties of Glamorgan and Monmouthshire?

Mr. McKENNA

I can, if necessary, refer the memorial to the Committee, which will consider any facts in support of it which may be brought forward, but I see no advantage in delaying the appointment till the memorial in question has been received.

Sir H. CARLILE

May I ask the right hon. Gentleman if he will undertake that no decision shall be arrived at before the memorial is received?

Mr. McKENNA

That must depend upon the time before which they deliver their memorial.

Sir H. CARLILE

There will be no undue delay?
