§ Mr. STEPHEN COLLINSasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether those members of the Metropolitan Police Force who have not yet had the three days' leave which was granted in respect of extra service rendered during the Coronation week of this year may have their three days added to their annual leave next year?
§ The SECRETARY of STATE for the HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. McKenna)It would be contrary to the established practice of the service to carry leave forward from one year to another, and I regret that I cannot act on my hon. Friend's suggestion. There is no reason why every officer should not complete his leave this year.
