Medway Floating Dock.

Mr. WHELER

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty if he can state the date on which the floating dock for the Medway will be moored in position?

Dr. MACNAMARA

It is anticipated that the dock will be completed in March, 1913, and moored in position immediately on delivery.

Mr. WHELER

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that the First Lord of the Admiralty stated some months ago that this dock would be completely in position before the end of the present year?

Dr. MACNAMARA

That is so; indeed, the contract date was September. There have been delays, I think I may say mainly due to labour difficulties, so that the dock has not been ready at the time we anticipated. The dock and moorings, however, will be completed by the date I have indicated in the answer.
