HC Deb 28 November 1911 vol 32 c189
Major ARCHER-SHEE

asked whether swords and infantry bayonets issued to the Army were supplied by contract; and, if so, whether they were wholly manufactured in England?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Mr. Tennant)

Swords and bayonets are obtained by contract and from the Royal Small Arms Factory, Enfield. In both cases they are of English manufacture.
