HC Deb 27 November 1911 vol 32 c42
Lord HUGH CECIL

May I ask the Home Secretary a question of which I have given him private notice: Whether his attention has been called to certain irregularities alleged with regard to the case of Mrs. Pethick Lawrence?

Mr. McKENNA

My attention has been called to this case. The Noble Lord only gave me notice at twenty-five minutes past three, and, in consequence, I have not had an opportunity of consulting my advisers as to how the case stands.

Lord HUGH CECIL

Will the right hon. Gentleman make inquiries?

Mr. McKENNA

I have already done so.
