HC Deb 27 November 1911 vol 32 cc31-2
Mr. JOYNSON-HICKS

asked the President of the Board of Education whether the Board's attention has been drawn to the facts concerning the dismissal of an assistant-master at the Dorking High School, a school under the inspection of the Board; and, if so, what action the Board intends to take in view of the fact that such cases have recently been increasingly common and tend to prevent highly qualified men from becoming secondary schoolmasters?

Mr. PEASE

Yes, my attention has been drawn to the facts, but the case is not one in which the Board of Education can properly intervene.
