HC Deb 21 November 1911 vol 31 c1012
Mr. LANE-FOX

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state what steps have been taken to enforce the demand of the Commissioners of Inland Revenue for particulars for purposes of valuation, in view of the fact that, of the 36,000 copies of Form IV. issued in Ireland, nearly 15,000 have not been even returned and nearly 19,000 have not even been partially filled up?

Mr. McKINNON WOOD

Up to the present the valuation under Section 26 of the Finance Act (1909–10) has not been delayed owing to non-receipt of returns on Form IV., and the Commissioners have therefore not found it necessary to take any steps, either in Great Britain or Ireland, to enforce their demand for these returns.
