HC Deb 14 November 1911 vol 31 c183
Mr. HUNT

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been called to the case of Private S. Lock, of G Company, 4th Battalion, King's Shropshire Light Infantry, who attended camp for the first three years, but whose employer refused to allow him to go to camp during his fourth year; and, in view of the fact that his employer wrote to the officer commanding G company, saying that he could not allow S. Lock to go to camp, there is any regulation under which S. Lock can be let off the fine imposed on him of 24s. by the county association?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Colonel Seely)

The facts are not as stated in the question. I am sending the hon. Gentleman a full account of the circumstances of the case.
