§ The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for INDIA (Mr. Montagu)The Government of India have informed the Secretary of State that the tables showing the population according to religions have been completed, and are being transmitted to this country. The tables of sects and races of Christians, age, education, and infirmities will be ready in about two months. Those of birthplace, language, caste, and occupation will be ready about April next.
